A happy pair this -
purple is always happy - for a much happier day than yesterday. So to celebrate, I shall share some happy news: the nominees for the Cape Amateur Theatre Awards 2015 were released this week and
Midsummer Night's Dream (which, you may recall, we put on in June last year) got 10 nominations! Two for artistic contribution (by the choreographer and the lighting designer), costumes (which were spectacular indeed), set design, acting nominations for Hermia and Bottom (most promising newcomer), Hippolyta (cameo appearance), Puck (lead actress) and Lysander (lead actor) and of course it is in the running for best director and best play. Holding thumbs! The awards will be presented on 15 February.
