Just the one earring today because it's the one I grabbed out of my pot first thing this morning and I have lost its partner. So I paired it with an ear cuff for interest's sake because I shan't forsake my poor earring just because it's single.
I don't know why I chose the word "lonely" when I was naming this pair earring. I mean, heck, I'm single (usually quite adamantly so) and I'm never lonely. So it's rather presumptuous of me to assume the earring is lonely. But perhaps it was the shape - it does look vaguely despondent the way it's hanging there with a bowed head and listless arms like a depressed Jack Skellington.
